Marion R. Morse

Marion R. Morse, age 87, of Johnstown Center, WI passed away on May 20, 2015 at Milton Senior Living, Milton, WI. She was born May 21, 1927 in Richmond, WI the daughter of Otto C. and Lizzie A. Wolske. Marion married Ivan E. Morse on June 16, 1945 in Whitewater, WI. They farmed in Johnstown Center and after his death, she continued to farm with her sons, Roger, Barry and Duane. Marion enjoyed many years of square dancing. She was a member of Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for many years and was active in the Women’s Association. She had been a 4-H leader and member of the Johnstown Homemakers. She was active for many years in the affairs of the Johnstown Center Cemetery, having served as the association’s secretary for a number of years and as a member of the former Johnstown Center Cemetery Auxiliary.
Marion is survived by three children, Connie Benash of Edgerton, Barry Morse of Johnstown Center, Duane Morse of Johnstown Center, her loving sister-in-law, Phyllis Wolske of Whitewater as well as many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan E. Morse who died February 14, 1993, her son Roger Morse who died June 22, 2013, her son-in-law, Keith Benash who died May 16, 2015, her father Otto Wolske who died in 1943, her mother Lizzie Wolske who died in 1990 and her brother, Emil A. Wolske who died in 1989, her sister, Florence Uhe who died in 2011 and her brother-in-law, Harold Uhe who died in 1990,
The family would like to thank all of the loving and caring personnel of Milton Senior Living, Agrace Hospice, Dean Clinic and St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Rock Prairie Presbyterian Church, 8605 E. County Road A Janesville. Rev. Kathryn Craven will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28th at he Church. Burial will be in Johnstown Center Cemetery. The Morse family is being assisted by Henke-Clarson Funeral home, Janesville.
